    The custom of dancing dragon in Tongliang has a long history. In the Tang and Song Dynasties, there were dragon dance activities. Even if it is now recognized that Tongliang Dragon Dance "started in the Ming Dynasty, flourished in the Qing Dynasty and flourished in the contemporary era", it has a history of 6700 years. "Tongliang County Records and Customs Chapter" recorded the grand occasion of Tongliang Dragon Dance during the Qing Guangxu Period: "From the eighth to fifteenth day of the first year of the Yuan Dynasty, Zhang Lantern was brilliant, and played dragon lanterns, lion lanterns and other zaju, bustling streets and markets, with the view of people moving month by month and people following the horse."     Tongliang dragon lantern dates back to the Tang and Song Dynasties and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In 1984 and 1999, Tongliang Dalong twice went to Beijing to attend the 35th and 50th anniversary celebrations of the founding of the People's Republic of China, dancing in front of Tiananmen Gate with the momentum of breathing through the rainbow.     As an ancient folk culture, in Tongliang, various organs, enterprises, factories and mines, every township, every village, have their own dragon dance team. Every year from the first to the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, a grand lantern party is held in the county town. Dragon dancing teams and lantern dancing teams compete with each other to celebrate the Lantern Festival. There are more than 30 teams participating in a complete parade: the sign light opens, the main dragon takes the lead, then the 48-meter-long giant vermicular dragon, the lively colorful dragon, and the lanterns "Yue Long Men", "loach eating Tangyuan", "Liang Lion", "Kaishan Tiger".     The state attaches great importance to the protection of intangible cultural heritage. On May 20, 2006, Tongliang Dragon Dance was approved by the State Council to be listed in a number of national intangible cultural heritage lists. On June 8, 2007, the Tongliang Dragon Dance Performance Team of Chongqing Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center won the first Cultural Heritage Day Award promulgated by the Ministry of Culture.
